Hey fellow MCOC'S. So, I haven't finished any Variants but I'm making good progress I must say.. I don't have a (5 or 6 star) Sentinel, Capt Marvel, Corvus, Warlock. Just thought I'd point that out. Now to my real question. Should I rank 5 some of these champs as 4 stars? I also don't have Colossus but I have him as a 4 star, should I rank 5 him?

Post your roster. 4* are still useful, but as your 6* and 6* roster develops, they will fade out, especially with gates in act 6. I would only invest in 4* as needed for specific content you don't have a counter for if your 5* roster is already developing with some options you would consider R4/R5 worthy. Every resource you use on a 4* will just slow down your 5* progress. But if they are a hard counter to something you can't get through right now, then a couple of planned 4* rank ups would be ok. Just know that your 5* could have used the same resources to push you further, especially once you start R4 more of them.

On a side note. Variant 4 is one of the best. I'd you can get past the first chapter, the requirements actually call for lower ranks the farther you get in and the easy paths aren't too bad. The rewards should give you some new rank up options too. Variant 5 and 6 are also easier than most the other ones if you have the right champs. You can cheese a lot of variant 6 with just a magneto and a venom, but doom and ghost are good too. Variant 1-3 are ok with the right counters, bit the rewards are more limited with older year specific rankup gems.
