Only problem with hulbuster is his heavy reach, on average, one or two hits out of 10 hits I got smacked in face, that's the only problem with him.
Otherwise, he is beast and fun to use.

Hulkbuster is pretty great and all (with that dumb heavy reach sometimes), but he's nothing compared to Guardian at max sig level.

Perhaps! I don't mean to come across as persnickety but simply asking "Hulkbuster or Guardian" is a question that's open to a lot of misinterpretation. That could be referring to any number of things. For example, which one others would consider to be the best over all; which one is best to use for Act 5 or Act 6 Completion or Exploration; which one is the least effective and which one is most effective in a specific match-up or to help clear a certain Path; which one would you consider best for Alliance War Defence; I think you get the point. All I'm asking for here is some clarification.

That’s understandable. I’m merely pointing that out because these threads where it’s just “pick one” always turn out to be in reference to who is the better champion

Overall, Guardian is better due to his utilities and good damage. But that doesn't mean HB isn't an amazing, great damage, good power control and great regen.

On topic question, I have HB and g2099 as rank2 6 stars.

I have guardian as a rank 3 5* sig 120. Does he, at 5/65 fill a niche that HB and G2099 can't?

I have 5/65 torch and 6* bishop and a plethora of other coldsnap and incinerate immunes to cover energy resistance.

I'm probably going to take him up to 5/65 anyway if I don't get better 6* luck, but just wondering if there's a role here for him, bar AQ (suicides) and energy damage fights?
