Is Hood Viable for 6.1.6 Vigorous assault?

I went I and got wrecked. Managed to get to Sentinel but got no revives or units then. Just yesterday I pulled Hood and I'm wondering if he is viable for that path. His abilities say so but I need input from people that have used him. I got resources to take him to r4.

I guess I just suck at this game. I used AA for X-23 but rng was not kind in Wolvie and it went downhill from there.
I can r5 any of my r4 champs if that is better than using Hood. I'm thinking of Medusa as she's my only Sentinel option but I don't want to blow all my resources getting past Vigorous assault.

Medusa's just fine against Sentinel at R4. As your first R5, I think Hype would do extremely well since he can hit above his weight, even though I personally think Void is the better champ.

Top tip, there's this thing called banking. Super easy way to create openings. Get yourself backed up against the wall, then bait a dash attack. Dex it, and immediately retaliate. Should work a treat against vigorous assault.

I use it with Corvus regularly but with other champs I don't do that usually.

Vigorous assault makes the opponent unblockable while they have a regeneration buff. doesn't matter if they are heal blocked or their healing is reversed, they are still unblockable until the regeneration buff ends

Well I meant that it's hard to get neuros up in the first place. And Vigorous Assault doesn't have a timer, you must be thinking of Arc Overload. AA's AAR can't stop the opponent from going unblockable when they have a regen buff. He can only stop them from getting regen buffs.

Your Dr Vodoo should get the job done too, just wait for the initial regen to expire and go ham on the defenders, use his Sp1 whenever necesary, Mystic dispersion helps a lot.

Because of Hurt locker, I can't spam sp1 with Vodoo to take out the regen. Sure I can reduce their ability accuracy by 50% but the regen can still trigger occasionally. I'm considering Hood because his stagger and Hex will prevent it from triggering

If Neuros expire, the timer will come back on. Found that out the hard way. AA is too much rng for that fight

Update: Hood worked nicely enough. Took down Wolvie and X-23. Groot had mystic ward so I used Void. He unfortunately died to bane in SIM and I finished up with Void. The fate seal duration is too short and keeping it up was hard so I mostly depended on stagger.
Sentinel was nasty made worse by the fact that the game was very laggy. Took a few revives but I got it done.
