Void's Overcoming Fear synergy does not work if he's unawakened

So, Void's Overcoming Fear synergy that says "fear of the void activates for 30 seconds against Avengers" does not work if he's unawakened.
Is that how's supposed to work or is it a bug?
Imo, it's a bug since that synergy is a way to get FoV in certain matchups even if your Void isnt duped

    Overcoming Fear with Black Widow, Vision, Hawkeye, Captain America
    Void: Fear of the Void activates at the start of the fight for 30 seconds against the Avengers.

    FoV activates immediately with synergy but Void s signature ability must be awakened first.

    If you want an official answer, ask Kabam, not us. This is a forum for the community to discuss. You could send Kabam a ticket if you don't care about our thoughts and just want a "real answer". Their support page allows you to submit tickets. Good luck.

    This is the "report bugs" section of the forum, not "general discussion". Kabam's supposed to answer these.

    Most of the time only players answer in here. The best way to get an answer from kabam is to send a support ticket.
