5.4.6 Ultron - White Mags

Does anyone know if taking White Mags along to the Ultron fight counters the 'impart' node? Just thinking it might save me some pain and revives?..

just completed Ch5 and indeed Mags does counter 'impart' and made it a pretty straightforward fight. The spoils for completion of Ch5 from the 5 star crystal?......
