Link nodes in AQ vs AW

Question for Kabam - if the devs have decided that link nodes do not add value in AW, what gameplay value do they add in AQ?

The only result of these linked nodes is player dissatisfaction with each other and extra headache for everyone chasing everyone else. They are not adding anything good to the gameplay experience.

If removing them from AW was the right decision, removing them from AQ is just logical extension.

I agree with you mostly but I’m going to play devil’s advocate here. Kabam reduced the energy cooldown timer for aq and because of that it’s a lot easier to clear the maps if you have enough people. This means it’s okay if you wait a few hours for someone to come back in and take down the linked nodes because you’ll be fine energy wise. You’re also not competing against someone else so there’s less of a rush to finish quickly in the least amount of items.

It’d definitely be simpler to remove the linked nodes from aq but it kind of defeats the purpose of a cooperative game mode if working together doesn’t help you succeed.
