AW Matching is worse than ever!

Many years have passed and this still needs major fixing!
Many alliances in the top aren't facing each other, the name of the game is fooling the matchmaking algorithm.
Shelling is basically a requirement if you want to have a fair shot at Plat2, Plat1 or low Master level.
We're a solid plat1 alliance, in the sense that we beat all plat2 and many plat1 matchups that come in our way. We can't however perform good enough for master level rewards, neither we're trying to...
Many alliances that we defeated are ending this season on plat1. We however will be finishing plat2 because we spent most season being matched with master alliances while positioned on the plat2 bracket! This happened 4 times including being matched with the #1 alliance in the leaderboard.
Now what sense does it make for an alliance that is fighting for p1 rewards to fight an alliance defending the #1 master spot?!
The matchmaking algorithm must be changed to take in consideration not only War rating and PI, but also your current position in the leaderboard! Alliances fighting for P1 rewards should only be matched with alliances fighting or defending P1 rewards at that time (P2 and low P1 in the leaderboard). Alliances fighting for top 3 masters should only be matched with alliances currently placed on the better half to the master bracket on the leaderboard!
