Havok plasma detonate on Emma Frost

Was wondering why Emma's Diamond form doesn't act as an armor up effect against Havok's plasma detonate. It functions like an armor up. Corvus, CMM, along with others can remove it with Armor Break abilities. But when Havok's plasma detonate goes off Emma takes damage.
Is this working as intended? And if it is working as intended I think it should be modified to resist Havok's plasma detonate ability.
