Mutant gem on Apoc and Rank 5?

Pulled mutant gem from 5.4 exploration. Have Apoc sitting at rank 3. Planning on taking him to rank 4. Dont want to use the gem on Emma, and Sabretooth is already awakened. If i do awaken him, does he need sigs. SHould he also be my first R5. I havent touched Act 6 and gonna go for Cav, should i wait for a better champ or take

apoc up?

If you want to do it then do it. Apoc is a very good r5 candidate.

I definitely would not. Well, I did, but I have 5* AG's of most classes plus a few generics collecting dust. You're still in a place where 5* gems hold alot of value and I wouldn't use it on Apocalypse at this stage. Wait for AA, OR, Colossus, or Namor. Any of those will benefit far more than Apocalypse, who doesn't need to be awakened in the slightest.
