5* Dual Crystal

Everyone is focused on the 6* but what about the 5* offer for those of us that are stuck at uncollected? Worth it or no? I have a little more than 4,000 units built up and thinking about cashing in.
Also, do I go for a class that I’m lacking decent champs (mystic and science) or hope for a dupe in a stronger class (mutants and tech)?

I am able to do another 7 runs in the Tier 9 Gauntlet, 7k 5-Star shards and so, will give this a miss even though the value of 1.5k units for the offer seems attractive.
