Crossbones and Abyss

Could Crossbones work in the Abyss if you play aggressive enough? He seems to hit really hard and stuff. Does he need a full synergy team or something, or can he work with the usual abyss counters?

Someone soloed thing with a 5* no synergy, I don't know how many fights he would work for though.
