Can't click tile to move up in MEQ

The attached screenshot is zoomed in as much as I can on my phone but I'm not able to click on the tile despite trying many times. I've tried exiting the game and re-opening to see if it would work to no success.

In case all the specifics are necessary: Samsung S9, Android v10, monthly EQ, normal difficulty, chapter 3 quest 1.

Personal gripe, why do they do this when creating maps? Can't they space it out more or redesign the maps to avoid situations like this?

TIP, use the new AUTOPLAY button to advance to that next node (to any node where the green circle is blocked).
Then once there, if you want to still manually fight, you can turn it back off.
