Kabam screwed me over

I'm just putting my story out for anyone interested last weekend I allowed my younger brother to use my phone to watch YouTube unknowing to me he decided to jump into my game and spend $160 ingame opening crystals now I'm unemployed at the moment so don't spend on the game right now but have been playing for 5+ years not free to play until this pandemic hit and I lost my job. My account is now locked behind a credit lock and because I got a refund from the google play store and didn't go through kabam which wasn't by choice I didn't actually have the money in my account and my bank blocked the purchases but kabam is not willing to help me with this and is saying I need to pay the $160 to unlock my account from a credit lock I can not afford it nor think I should need to pay it I would happily give up everything I got from the $160 cause I never would have bought them but kabams not interested in it.
5+ years playing a game paying way more for my purchases than the U.S players as an Australian player I pay extra but was happy to do it when I could and all this means nothing to kabam first time mistake and they screwed me ill stop playing over this cause its a joke not wasting time or money on this scummy company anymore.
So warning to all dont make a mistake cause one mistake in five plus years of loyal gaming they'll toss you out and not give you a chance or second thought

How did he get past the purchase verification? I use face recognition on one device and a thumbprint on an older one.

I'm sorry but I've never heard of Kabam locking accounts behind "credit locks". At most if you ask for a refund through Google, the put negative units on your account but you can still play the game.

Do you not have a password for purchases? Also, if you didn't have the money, you shouldn't have been able to make the purchase. The transaction gets declined.

Your story sounds incredibly fishy.

I'm not saying that your account is untrue or anything, but it seems strange that you've been playing for 5+ years yet you joined the forums literally an hour ago. Also, have you sent in a ticket yet to support?

On an IPhone all you have to do is double click the power button to confirm a purchase when the phone is unlocked.

Let's assume all this is true, then Kabam haven't done anything wrong.
You're trying to get a refund on items you've already consumed, and we all know that there is a no refund policy on crystals that have been opened - people can abuse this process and so it makes sense that it's a strict policy.
This is on you & your bro, mate.
If I was in your place, I would cancel the refund to get my account unlocked.

Hey listen, I can understand the annoyance and if what you say is 100% accurate it is just a mistake all round.
You got your money back, (that you didn’t have anyway) and for me that would be the most important thing.
It’s a lesson learnt, and if the worst outcome is you can’t play that account, I would count myself lucky. Much better than having to pay $160 for a purchase you didn’t want.
Kabam is a business, and if they have blocked your account due to irregular purchasing/refund activity, I don’t think you can really blame them.

I dont think it's fair that after 5 years and thousands of dollars spent this happens they where happy to refund me but because the refund wasn't done by them they locked me behind a credit lock and are basically forcing me to spend $160 I don't have one mistake shouldn't wreck my history I've never done anything wrong.

Unfortunately once crystals are opened Kabam can’t give refunds for them and it has always been this way. Ive made mistake purchases with units in the past and as long as they remain in your inventory a refund has always been possible. Sounds like your brother is the one that screwed you not Kabam

Sorry this happened to you bro, I suggest contacting support to see if you can still play but with negative units because there’s nothing you can do about getting them back since crystals were already opened.

How you can blame kabam for this is baffling to me, just own up to your mistake. Giving someone your phone unsupervised is incredibly irresponsible, you got off pretty light if all he did is mess up mcoc (also the locking account story is likely fake since that’s not a thing)

I'm really sorry if this is true but in all my time on the forums, I have never seen Kabam put a "credit lock" on anyone's accounts. If you want a refund, all they do is give you negative units. Also, how did the transaction go ahead if you didn't even hav enough in the first place.
