Possible Bug or Wrong Wording

In Variant 7, the Crit Me With Your Best Shot lane says that "This Defenders takes 100% less damage from hits that are not Critical." How come Torch's incinerates are not doing any damage? I might be understanding this wrong somehow, but I would appreciate it anybody could explain?

    his incinerates are not crits, a crit is a yellow number you get on a basic attack or a special attack

    It’s probably just wrong wording. It’s probably supposed to say ‘the defender takes less damage from all sources except critical hits’.

    Either that or it’s a bug.

    Yeah I know. Maybe I was kind of thinking about this like the Do you bleed where if you hit on a block, it does damage

    It’s worded this way in map 7, I didn’t blink an eye at it. But it could be worded better.
