Whats the point of HTD's suppression debuff?

What is the point of suppression debuff , I can't seem to understand what do they do.

The debuff just should have been power lock, the duration of those debuff are so short that it would not have mattered if they were power locks.

Also these suppression debuff have no interaction with Cav tech node, since they are some kind of power control they should have synergized like gaining a passive fury when hitting a opponent with suppression debuff.

    Some champions/nodes have immunity, shortened duration or resistance to power lock

    Having different debuffs that to similar things is important with how many different interactions there are in the game.

    Take bleed and poison, they do similar things, but work around immunities and resistances.

    It suppresses power. You can stack up to 10 to prevent all power gain. You can back them into a corner with repeated heavy attacks until your next sp2, and basically keep them power locked indefinitely.

    No but they fall off so slowly, 1 at a time, that they barely gain any power. It doesn’t work nearly as well with auto mash. He becomes almost like hulk buster he backs them into a corner and does tons of heavies in a row with occasional specials. Except it’s much easier to connect on his heavies than hulk buster.

    HTD had potentially one of the op sp2 based on RNG but now it does nothing.

    You are probably not running collar tech, it is actually a lot more significant when you are running it. Also, you need to bait special first the. Launch SP2
