Immortal abomination taking damage from poisons

My 5* r4 ibom just took damage from normal aboms poisons on the bleed& poison path in 5.4.1

Did that fight have enhanced poison as one of the nodes?

Ibom isn't immune to poison. If the opponent has increased poison potency he'll deal damage to ibom

Yeah but in his description it says 100% reduced damage from poisons and isn't increased potency more damage?

read what you wrote carefully . 100% reduced dmg and increased potency is more dmg. so he takes dmg

I guess that makes sense I just thought it was the other way around. Like it increases the potency and that is the new 100% dmg which means it geht's canceled but i was wrong apparently.
