My Hard Hitting crystals were automatically opened.

I've been saving all my champion crystals since the beginning of April to open this Saturday. I had purchased the offer that came with 10 Hard Hitting Cavalier crystals. Tonight when I logged in I found 2 new champions, and iso equivalent to 8x 3* dupes. I looked at the list of crystals I had saved up, and those 10 were missing. I know Kabam is auto-opening old crystals at some point, but this crystal was sold within the last 6 weeks, and this crystal was certainly not on the list.

Was this a bug, or are crystals going to start having a time limit that they have to be opened within?
