Buff Concept - Taskmaster

Following up to my previous Ultron post, I decided to go ahead and do a similar type of thing for Taskmaster, since he's one of my favorite characters in the game. And also yeah, because I've seen some concepts around and wanted to take mine out for a spin. He doesn't need anything top to bottom, but I let myself go a little crazy designing him so that you can still get the same satisfying special 1 chains and everything. It's a lot to take in, though, so brace yourself. Oh, and apparently my last post was hard to read (???) so let me try and fix that this time around. Like last time, any feedback is appreciated! I might start making some more of these soon.

Learn the Foe – Passive

- Taskmaster has built up a long past of combat, he is no stranger to debuffs, and how to work around them. 50% chance to purify any damaging debuff inflicted, increasing by 10% for each debuff purified in this way.
- Non-Damaging Debuffs have their duration reduced by 50%, increasing by 10% for each applied.
- When one of these affects have been applied 10 times, Taskmaster becomes immune to all future debuffs.

Memorization Charges

- Each hit into Taskmaster’s block grants him a passive Memorization Charge, corresponding to the move used.
- Taskmaster can initiate a Memorization Charge’s active state by performing a Heavy Attack, starting its 10 second timer.
- If Taskmaster performs a basic attack corresponding to his active Memorization Charge 3 times, or uses a corresponding Special Attack, he gains a Photographic Reflex Charge for that attack, and begins to search for another attack to memorize. (Max Charges: 5)

Photographic Reflex Charges

- With each Photographic Reflex Charge, Taskmaster better understands his opponent’s style of combat, granting him an 8% chance to Exploit Weakness when using that attack. (Max: 40%)
- Exploit Weakness deals direct damage equal to 80% of Taskmaster’s attack, and inflicts Concussion for 15 seconds, reducing his opponent’s Ability Accuracy by 10% for each move memorized in the fight, up to a max of 50%.
- When Ability Accuracy Reduction exceeds 200%, any additional reduction is applied positively towards Taskmaster.

Basic Attacks

- Light Attacks have a 20% chance to inflict Armor Break for each corresponding Photographic Reflex Charge. Armor Break lasts for 5 seconds, and reduces armor rating by 150. If Taskmaster is unable to inflict Armor Break, instead deal 20% of his attack as Direct Damage.
- Medium Attacks inflict Bleed on critical hits, dealing 40% of Taskmaster’s attack as Direct Damage per corresponding
Photographic Reflex Charge over 8 seconds.
- Heavy Attacks refresh all debuffs on the opponent with an initial duration of under 30 seconds, and grant Taskmaster an Intangibility passive for the duration of the charge. When the opponent misses an attack because of this, Taskmaster is granted 8% of a bar of power for each corresponding Photographic Reflex Charge.

Special Attacks

- Special Attacks are Unblockable if Taskmaster is currently holding an active Memorization Charge for that attack.

Special Attack 1

- Inflicts Bleed on first hit, dealing 120% of Taskmaster’s attack over 20 seconds.
- Gunshots deal Direct Damage equal to 10% of Taskmaster’s attack for each debuff on the opponent. Bleeds count double for this total. (Max damage increase: 100%)
- If the opponent is suffering from 5 or more debuffs, gunshots are guaranteed to be critical hits.
- This attack costs 15% less power for each corresponding Photographic Reflex Charge.

Special Attack 2

- Deals 10% more damage for each debuff inflicted in the quest so far. Debuffs applied against Mutants do not count towards this total, and debuffs applied to Taskmaster by Science opponents count as well. (Max Damage Increase: 400%)
- Inflicts an indefinite Prolong passive on the opponent, increasing debuff duration on them by 15% for each corresponding Photographic Reflex Charge.
- Removes all Armor Breaks on the opponent, and inflicts an Armor Shattered, combining their effects, and lasting for 30 seconds. Armor Shattered reduces Armor Up ability accuracy by 100%, and Taskmaster cannot apply Armor Break to an Armor Shattered opponent.

Special Attack 3

- Taskmaster damages the opponent’s joints and inflicts a Sabotage debuff, as well as a Critical Damage passive for 60 seconds. Sabotage deals 35% of attack as direct damage every time an ability fails to trigger.
- Opponents suffering from Critical Damage cannot Evade, and they lose 10% Combat Power Rate for each debuff on them when applied. When Critically Damaged, critical hits do not grant power.
- Refresh all of Taskmaster’s active debuffs.
- Grant Taskmaster a Precision buff for 30 seconds, increasing critical rating by 200 for each Photographic Reflex Charge, regardless of associated attack.

Awakened Ability – Class Adaptability

Taskmaster gains the following benefits against these classes based on the Exploited Weaknesses of that Class throughout the quest. (Max benefits reached at 15 Exploited Weaknesses):
- Skill: Taskmaster gains (3-5)% increased bleed duration for each Weakness Exploited.
- Science: Inflicts a permanent Weakness passive, reducing attack by (4-5)% for each Weakness Exploited. Increases debuff duration by 15% when cap is reached.
- Mystic: Every time a Power Gain, Power Flood, or Power Steal affect fails to apply, Taskmaster passively gains (3-5)% of a bar of power for each Weakness Exploited.
- Cosmic: Inflicts a passive Ineptitude, reducing buff potency by (2-3)% for each Weakness Exploited.
- Tech: Taskmaster gains (3-5)% Power Burn and Power Drain resistance for each Weakness Exploited.

His awakened ability could and should be OP because of his style/skills......

Similar to yours I'd have it be class adaptability/fight fire with fire but I'd say fighting against each class he is......

Science....heavy attacks slow the opponent for x seconds.
    Mutant....special attacks build up prowess
Mystic....ending a combo with a medium can nullify one buff
Tech.... Power drain or power lock
    Cosmic.....poison immune and armor break
    Skill.....shrugs off debuffs

Basically he'd have 6 different awakened abilities but can only use against class fighting

I got my inspiration from Cap IW, which I think was a bit obvious. However, as opposed to the fire with fire approach, I decided to take it more reactionary. I know Taskmaster tends to try and spit back out his opponent's gimmicks, but I think with tech, mystic, and cosmic that's not very easy to justify lore-wise. I mean, he's not a super teched-out dude in the comics, he can't change his composition (though poison immunity would be amazing :( ) and he doesn't tend to dabble in the mystic arts. Though that is something I never knew I needed but absolutely do. But what he does do is analyze people and find their weaknesses, so it seemed logical to me that he would counteract some class gimmicks. Kind of like Sentinel's synergies.

I like the awakened ability, everything else looks good, and it looks like you gave him a little bit of a numbers bump which is always a plus.

My only question is regarding his synergies, Are you only referring to just white widow or both versions?

I actually completely forgot to include White Widow, ****. Let me try and come up with something for that right now.

Widow's Web: Black Widow (Deadly Origin)

Taskmaster: 25% chance to evade once 5 moves have been Memorized. Triggering this evade causes Taskmaster to gain a Warrior's Insight passive, for 10 seconds, increasing Basic Attack ability accuracy by 25% and giving Heavy Attacks a 100% chance to stun for 2 seconds.

Black Widow (Deadly Origin): Flashbang and Heavy Attack both refresh all debuffs active on the opponent.

I doubt that, I mean they won't do Shang-Chi, they never rereleased Thanos, Loki, etc. and since Taskmaster gets so little love in general, I think just a visual change won't be enough for them to do something 100% new.
