LOL enrage timer mechanics and g99 vs maestro

I’m looking to do a first clear of LOL as could do with the rewards to progress acc.
I tried a few fights with r4 g99, not even fully levelled tbh and she doesn’t trigger the shorter enrage timer.
If I take other r4 champs in for magik/maestro, is the timer done on a per fight/champ basis or will having g99 on the squad keep it at bay whoever I fight with?
Lastly should I bring another champ for maestro or just use g99? Read you shouldn’t use tech vs him but similarly think people have got him down with her...maybe a case of just keeping the combo going if he regens?
