Champions with tricky distances on their special attacks

For me, I feel like Luke cage’s specials are very difficult to heavy punish as sometimes it goes short and other times he has a crazy lunge forward. Are there any other champs that are somewhat unpredictable with their specials?

I believe characters that slide in their specials and heavies calculate a distance point at the time of attack. Dodge early and they slide to meet you. Dodge closer to the point of impact (after their calculation is complete) and you'll have more distance and see them end up where you used to be when it calculated your proximity. But yeah, in the moment it can be hard to predict at first.

Some animations are just harder to heavy counter. In very advanced gameplay, you'll see some players manipulate spacing in creative ways. Either by dashing in mid special to whiff, but safely close the distance. And/or they will whiff light attacks to safely correct the distance as well.

Im having trouble baiting specials in general lol.
I got the 6 baiting methods down, it's just getting them to work that's the issue.
