Apocalypse, Odin, and the "Support Champion" subtype.

All new champs will have to take their effects into account, thereby changing champion development permanently. Kinda like what MD did to mystics, but in champ form.

I find this really cool. “Support champion” used to be those synergies everyone has at least one of thats give +6% health and the like, but now it’s evolved into something like an actual champion.

What’s also great is both Apocalypse and Odin are excellent on their own accord, but the boosts are also super helpful.

You can still parry Mordo and treat him as a normal fight, as long as you are experienced enough to time your attacks just before the parry timer expires 😉

I remember when people tried to figure that out and it was free parries for days. Regardless I daresay Mordo was the first champion that actually made you think about war and fights in general beyond simply smacking dudes.

Corvus Glaive. Once people discovered what he could actually do, he became the top champion for a long time.

Blade changed the meta as well.

When Corvus came out I pulled him from one Cav, I still remember it I was so happy. Back then awakening gems were a hell of a lot rarer, and I used a cosmic gem on him. This was when everyone thought his sig was useless and he was fine unduped, not realising how much his sig could cheese.

One of my alliance mates at the time told me I was dumb for using it on him and I should have used it on Proxima instead.

I have to agree with this, everything was just parry heavy , rinse repeat and mordo was racking up a crazy amount of kills in war.

Yep, I think Mr.F being the first they still had to experiment and nailed it with those two, it changes your rank ups , etc.

Mystic dispersion also changed the game, that’s a good shout.

I don’t remember for a good two years no champ had a dimensional being or villain title. That in my opinion was the first game breaking champ I witnessed change the entire game beside switch.

Corvus as well, but they haven’t really countered him yet.

Ghost, since she was released a lot of champions that place armor break, even he don't touch you, was released. Same situation with champion that don't take extra damage or fail to guaranteed critical hits.

Human torch was criminally underrated until abyss came out then people started to realize that he is on the best characters in the game for majority of the game's content.
The same applies to Doom

Black Widow - ability accuracy reduction. Bypasses everything meaningful at the time.

Cyclops paired with magneto, black bolt. You literally took no damage from blocking. I believe his sig ability was “leadership”

Now that I think about it, technically all champions were game-changing since each champion increased the number of total champions by one, therefore changing MCOC forever. Next time you pull Yondu as a 6*, don't get upset and just remember he is a game-changing champion.

Actually , human torch had a buff which made him what he is today. People forget that there was a tweak which increased his temperature significantly.
