7.2.4 flare and slumber path bug

So I brought corvus to that path and everything was fine for the first 2 fights.

I got the stun from slumber failing in my next 2 fights. I know pacify can fail the power lock but it doesn't matter anyway in this case. How can pacify, triggering during a stun, can make the stun itself failing, meaning pacify cannot activate in the first place.
