From the leaks, they seemed to be named ‘Purgatory’.

Looking like some version of Morningstar. My bet is an alternate timeline version where instead of becoming Guillotine 2099, she had to break free of the golem suit herself, and became Purgatory

Yeah definitely alternate timeline or something since the motion comic is tagged what if and this is the description:
And after centuries of futile searching... It finally found its one true Mistress.

What if, Summoner? What IF… Wonder no longer when you set a reminder for June’s Motion Comic: https://bit.ly/2SoQlYI

and that was with the image in the tweet.

It’s definitely got the gold stuff of Morningstar’s suit there as well

Good shout, I didn’t spot the What If? connection. So basically, since La Fleur De Mal is finding its ‘one true mistress’, Purgatory should be better Morningstar

If she has the same ramp up it’s a big fat nope from me

So Guilly 2099 used to be Morningstar?

Yep. Then there was a whole thing with the sword they didn’t really talk about and they put her brain in the G2099 body

New MS it is then. I just hope the champ isn't "MS, but better" -- surely they wouldn't. Even I fear the wrath of MS stans.

Could the game even take Morningstar but better? Sounds kinda op
Start the fight at 5 souls. Each soul grants 10% increase to all stats in her kit and attributes. Boom

Okay straying away from actual champ ability talk, let’s take a moment to chat about the plot. So we know Morningstar/Queen Hassen had her soul transferred into the Guillotine 2099 model, but we never learn what actually happened to the body.

In the twitter artwork it appears that queen Hassen’s body, currently trapped in the Iron Maiden, appears to be breaking out of the Iron Maiden while also possessing a magma-like heart in the middle of her chest spreading some sort of orange-yellow liquid throughout all her larger torso veins.

Overall, what seems to be happening is that Queen Hassen’s body appears to be conscious and is beginning to revert to a more human like state that her body was before she was imprisoned in her Iron Maiden by her subjects whom she once tortured.

How this is possible when Queen Hassen’s soul is currently inhabiting Guilly2099’s body? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

As for the Motion Comic art, we see a humanoid hand seemingly wearing 2 circular rings on their wrist grabbing a bright, glowing redish-orange spine which looks awfully similar to the first bloodline sword that we are shown in the Guillotine: Future Prometheus Motion Comic (G2099’s motion comic). As said motion comic says, according to legend, the weapon was created by the Sumerian goddess Ereshkigal using a demon’s spinal cord. One other important thing to note, is that the motion comic that will release this Friday is named “Bloodlines”

I thought the body was just transformed into a g2099 body?

Well I don’t think it was ever like officially set in stone what actually happened, but I assumed it was a soul transfer considering the soul manipulation properties of Guillotine’s sword, the word choices of their conversations, and the fact that Morningstar transforming into a high tech robot warrior seemed to be a bit of a stretch. I just feel like it’s implied by context and more likely that it was a soul transfer rather than a body transformation.

I don't remember exactly which EQ it was (Spam's release?) but Mojo seemed to be in possession of the iron maiden body. The body was animated but as more of an animal rather than a being with conscious thought. Also, if you look at G2099's champ bio, it doesn't talk about the motion comic at all. Instead, G2099 is a robot built through analysis of the sword.

I think the best explanation for the present state of events in this storyline is that Queen Hassen's soul was transferred into a G2099 robot and the Iron Maiden is currently animated by remnants of demon magic.

My bet is that the "true mistress" of the sword is a hero version of Queen Hassen that was defeated by Mephisto and forced into an alternate version of the iron maiden. This would explain why the new Morningstar has a physical body and heart, rather than being just a reanimated soul inside the iron maiden.

I'm guessing Mephisto released the Maestro, or a version of his soul, to wipe out Gilly and G2099. The new Morningstar shows up to stop Maestro, as part of her punishment from Mephisto. Eventually, defeating Maestro frees new Morningstar from Mephisto's curse.

This was the Stryfe eq. He had a mindless clone of Morningstar, not the body of the Iron Maiden. And yes, the G2099 is a robot meant for mass production.

Meanwhile me wondering: why kabam so obsessed with Souls too much. Their original champs always revolve around souls and soul mechanics

Brain:- They are the souls of summoners
