    Doom
His power control will be very handy and his tankiness is plus point. Warlock is awesome choice too. He have his own unique abilities. You can't go wrong with any of them. But for act 5.3 doom seems more fit due to damage as there is damage reduction per chapter per class

    Doom
Doom, then Warlock, then Falcon. With those 3 you can do just about anything.

    Warlock
This is a very tough question because the answer is both. Those two are insanely powerful in their own regard. Personally I use warlock more for general questing than I do Doom but they both have a plethora of scenarios where they shine.

If you are in 5.3 Doom will help there immensely. The mystic quest is one of the worst in that chapter. Warlock then Falcon after.

I'd go Warlock first, then Doom.

    Do both in time!

Doom can help clear content; and is amazing, but there aren't that many scenarios he's uniquely good for; whereas there are loads of scenarios that Warlock is uniquely good for.

I have both (Awakened) at 5/65 and use them both a lot. Doom is powerful, but Warlock is unique.

Lots of spiderpeople in 5.4, so falcon is a good option

Warlock first then doom,if you decide to get suicides then warlock will surely benefit. He's good without suicides too.
With warlock many obstacles to becoming cavalier become trivial and his use extends. Doom on the other hand is good, but does'nt have bleed poison immunity. Doom can help control buffs thats the only thing warlock can't do that doom can do.

    I'd go Warlock then Doom.

Warlock will prevent healing (masochism / buffet nodes). He also has power control just for applying infection from regular attacks and parries... skip his sp1 and use sp2 most of the time or sp3 to power drain big time and regen some health bavk. He's also got immunities (caltrops, biohazard lanes), has a reliable sp2 armor break, good bleed on heavy (especially with deep wounds), is an xl, tech and hero for multiple variants and is the best cav eq tech cheese if you can start doing those soon.
Oh, and his armor up makes him one of the best counters for Havok and he's very good for Domino and pesky fights like improved powergain bishop (where energy damage like Doom's just feeds him power).

Doom is amazing for raw damage and his SP3, sp1 rotation for power control, tanky-ness and nullify on the heavy. Aura of hazarath is also nice if you take a combo while it's active and his SP2 incinerate is potent while your sp3 fury is active.

Either is great and both should go up, but I personally think warlocks utility is even better than Dooms with some of the path node requirements so he would get the slight edge from me. This is coming from someone who has a 6* R3 Doom, 6* R3 warlock and a 5* R5 duped Doom.
