My initial thoughts after exploring this month's Cav eq
Explored this month's cav eq and I have mixed feelings
I will start with negative ones saving good cookies for last
1)First of all this month buffs were punishing ones if you use different class in particular chapter ( like in mystic ch skill or tech champs will feel useless or In science countering passive power gain seems tedious by others. ). There should be more room to other classes too if you don't have suitable champs
2)some nodes seems totally rushed and could have been better. For example heal n hide in tech chapter was totally useless there was passive heal block. Something more interactive could have been there
3)buffs were seemingly benefited only few champs per class . I don't mean that other champs could not do but it was like 1 or 2 champs will be able to take full advantage.( In mutant Colossus and mags are best example due to the limber type node; same goes for mystic.)
I can understand that this month other content came but that can't be reason for ignorance
Now time for cookies
1) like the way how path devender were placed with certain buffs making it fun and interactive.
2) This month it felt like that I'm doing something challenging. It tested roster and skills in many ways. Planning was essential. Jumping blind isn't option any more.
3) I really liked the boss nodes. Especially BLADE one. After long time I could say some one can claim as CAV EQ BOSS. Though fight was simple and straight. Just needed planning and patience. Any champ can do it.
4) Difficultly scaling was executed good. Mid cavs or new TBs or anyone with good or average roster can feel it.
But also I feel that rewards should need a little bit of bump. Personally I don't want shards or t5bc. I think addition of t4cc selector per chapter exploration and some t1a will be awesome. As these 2 resources are much needed and RNG regarding t4cc is cruel most of the time.
Props to seva for such EQ. I may have complaints and other negative feelings regarding above points but over all it was nice addition and really enjoyed it over all.
Hope In future we will see more of it but with polished execution.
Thanks for reading such long write up
( Going to try my hands at Grandmaster challenge in some weeks maybe)
