Doctor Doom is in my opinion a great option for many different fights in the Grandmaster's Gauntlet. Extremely tanky and super versatile.
He can be used on:
▪️Vision OG
▪️Korg
▪️Dragon Man
▪️Black Panther
▪️Domino
▪️Apocalypse
▪️Nick Fury
Against Apocalypse he is great because he is a villain so Apoco will start the fight with only 2 charges.
Also the Doom's cycle guarantees he will never use a single special and the fight becomes very smooth!

With mixmaster it is still a hard fight.
For the rest he is not really needed or doesn't work too well imo.
But if you have a free slot on your team why not?
