Would you guys use a r1-r2 tech gem on War Machine? Unawakened

Context - i have HB warlock and G2099 already r2 minimum. I have ghost 5\65 sig 200 so if i pull ghost she wouldnt be used over my 5* til i dup her anyways. Or i could hold out for Ultron. But is war machine worthy of r2

I don't know how comparable they are but IMO Ultron is way better

Yeah ,..War machines not where it’s at imo. I got a 6* the other day and levelled him up max r1 ,..and very disappointing ….r5’d my HB instead of the r2 nod to war machine.
He’s tech support …and needs to fight to gain back pre- fight charges . Tried him out in tech Cav event quest and he’s awful,..in the same fights where my warlock had no issue .

Just to add,..the good thing though is you still get all his pre- fight support at r1. So personally I would save the rank up gem,..and just bring in WM for your ghost / HB/ and warlock whenever you feel it’s needed and rank up a better 6* tech option.
…And it’s a win/ win .
