Gauntlet lessons; another average Joe story

If you've seen my post on my abyss adventure then you may find this useful for when gauntlet comes back around...!
Background; while I did 1 run of abyss to get TB, I'm not that great at the game, but with a lot of grinding beforehand, love potions and aegon at 999 combo with Heimdall, you can do anything... Including abyss!
But even so, I was in two minds about doing gauntlet, but @DNA3000 's post gave me an idea. If he'd happily pay 1,000 units to get aegon at 999 combo and I don't have a solution for terrax... Well, why not ramp up aegon on doom, terrax and vision?
So so gauntlet, but just accept, like abyss, that you're going to spend 30 odd revives, maybe 40 or so, ramping up aegon and subsequently nuking through Difficult opponents?!
So that's what I did. I had 4,300 units, 32 lv1 revives, 1 lv 2 and 1.1m battle chips.
I took Corvus, proxima, aegon torch and apoc. I was originally thinking apoc for doom and thing.
In retrospect, I should have just taken Corvus, prox, aegon Heimdall and maybe magneto.
I used aegon for *everyone* except mojo (degen) and domino.
Ended with 1,200 units and 700k battle chips and I think having Heimdall would have saved me at least 1500 units, probably 2k units.
I forgot to kill vision with Corvus too, so only had 2 charges on him for mojo and domino (r3 Corvus can take mojo in 3 revives), which would have also saved me.
I used aegon to kill weapon x and Sasquatch. Aegon's aar does work on Sasquatch's heal and I used about 4-5 revives to do the last 30% of weapon x.
Not having love potions meant I spent more than I wanted to on heals..
So, if you are thinking about it and have 5/65 aegon, 5/65 or 3/45 Corvus plus any star or Heimdall and proxima, then 3k units can get you through.
I just wish DNA had mentioned Heimdall as well in his epic post ;-)

New rule of thumb.
1. Are the rewards worth over 2k units
2. Does aegon at 500 or 999 combo make it trivial
3. Can you get him to 500+ combo inside 1k units
4. If conditions 1, 2 and 3 are met, proceed with aegon and Heimdall.
(*Doom and Korg that should read; the other big rock guy ;-) aegon at 999, defo better than apoc unless you are a god at Korg fights.)
