Previously rooted device

I understand you can't play a currently rooted device or you will get banned which makes sense.
What if my device was previously rooted? Can I play MCOC without fear of getting banned or should i go through the trouble of first doing a factory reset?

Depends on the device. Samsung i believe has a counter on the number of times it has been rooted or not. I think its called Knox counter
Also its anyones guess if they use that counter too.

ok thanks. i may factory reset it....just a pain to do because i have to reinstall everything.

Erm...factory reset doesnt always guarantee to unroot your pbone. Depends on how the phone was rooted in the first place.

That’s true to I’m own a android in the pass don’t experience x8 min one rooted it and it stays that’s way all the time

You can usually un-root without a factory reset.

I don't think they give 3rd party apps access to that info.
Also, if you rooted your phone with Magisk, you can hide the root status from apps
