Why is it always a slap in the face? This is how the whole game works as is.
I'm really glad this is replacing Summoner Appreciation. I'm glad we're getting something, instead of just no SA like so many on the forums thought, but also this just seems overall better. More fun and engaging than just logging in, and it also seems like we have more control over the rewards through the tokens and Canteen store, which is nice.
I do have a few questions though.
1. How do we get specific tokens? They're awarded through the milestones, but do we get to pick if we want a Catalyst Token or whatever, or are the token rewards 2. Do the resort passes cost units or real money? How much? 3. Do we have to rebuy the Resort Pass Plus every 7 days? 4. Does unlocking the next set of milestones just burn through the 98 day event faster or are these extra on top of the normal daily objectives? 5. Do you understand the irony of the Fun in the Sun flavor text telling us to go outside and...play a video game?

But you’re not just asking a question are you? If you were I wouldn’t have made a comment. Saying it’s a slap in the face is ridiculous, without paying players let’s see how long the game lasts. Kabam is a business, businesses will sell things to make money and keep their product going.
As long as Kabam are free to make offers like this, we won’t have to have ads or subscriptions or fees to download. It’s part of what you have to expect if you play a free to play game.

You saying it's a slap in the face to F2P is what he's reacting to. How is the resort+ different than the Sigil or paid offers? It's not. Saying it's a slap in the face to anyone is just being overly dramatic since this kind of thing exists everywhere in the game as is.
So the difference bwtween camp and resort are the additional set of milestones and some extra benefits in the form of quicker claiming of milestones and stuff.
Love the choices offered for people to focus on the catalyst/awakening gem/sig stones/shards that they are looking for to progress. I’m all for some chance, but tbh I have way more T5CC formed and ready to use than I do T2A atm. Catch me picking up all of those offers, and maybe some 6* shards while I’m at it

It's still 90+ here in TX generally. August is the worst month by far.
how’s the power grid down there
Depends on the energy company lol. I never had an issue during either with the company I had. Texas is the prime reason you don't deregulate energy.
It's not about your company. All companies get energy off the grid. But I believe we're the only state that isn't connected to national grid, and why we couldn't get additional power during the winter storm.
The people that kept power the whole time were usually around something that HAD to stay up (for instance someone who lives near a hospital, police station, fire department).
FWIW our grid is still the same as far as I remember, and there was some talk that if our consumption didn't go down we could see "rolling" blackouts during the summer which would be ridiculously cruel.
And I say that as someone who sat without power for over 36 hours on one of our "shifts". Would not like for that to return, and for all the talk about investigating ERCOT, I don't see any fruits of that labor. Hoping the blackouts don't return because if so, I'm moving to an area that won't go down. Sorry, but never again.
