The issue is the same as this month spiderman store… people don’t want to be ‘forced’ to buy things that have no benefit to account, just to unlock something they want.
Add to that the ridiculous complexity and increased chance to over but poor items.. total garbage event

15K from the event, but you also get 100 per day for 98 days. So 24800 total.
No you don’t get get 100 a day for 98 days. You get a 100 a day from the day you collect the clip board. The earliest you can collect is next Tuesday which leaves 50 day to collect 100 shards a day which is 5000. So you can get up to 20k depending on when you collect the clip board.
So I just bought the $15 pass and my previous milestones are still locked, can I claim all the previous rewards when I get the next pair of sunglasses or are all the previous milestones just locked and I wasted $15?

When you get your next sunglasses, everything up to your latest milestone should unlock.
Free stuff is a bad motivational tactic... learnt that a few years ago from Freakonomics (or was it Super Freakonomics?).
Do it once and people appreciate it, after that it becomes an expectation and actually reduces motivation and increases disgruntled attitudes if the reward is not increase.

The thing I don't understand though is why folks can get better free stuff than last year and still get mad just simply because other folks could pay to get even more, as if it invalidates their free thing... but I'm no psych so I guess it will remain a mystery to me.
It's unfortunately human nature.. If you have a group of 10 people and you give 9 people each a million dollars in cash, tax free and give the tenth guy a million dollars tax free plus an extra $20 for lunch, how many of those other 9 people would be upset that they weren't given that extra courtesy even though everybody has a million dollars!?

No you get to collect More of the daily shard. The fast you complete it the more shards you get. Not everyone will get the same amount of daily shards. If you collected early you cash out at like 5600 shards. The later you complete it the less you get.

As long as you just bought 2 items twice from the first row, you should be able to get the gem.
Worst event ever, there is so many bad things together that it is quite impossible, but Kabam said hold my beer: When you did the quest, you are not noticed, when you are going for reward, I am every day on reward 20 and must scrol, scroll, and scroll down to reach current progress, for first month anything I bought in the shop is absolutel garbage useless for my account. This event is so bad that I don't care about it anymore and this happened for first time after 3 years in game.
My problem is that I am not getting any further Summ(on)er glasses for quite some time. Did the ability to gain glasses become discontinued?
I know I play more than 10 bouts daily.
I still see the Solo Event reward chart now (w/ 33 some days left), but I hadn’t seen the option to get the Summ(on)er Resort pass for quite a few weeks.

I did 10 fights yesterday but forgot to collect my glasses, now I've lost one more day.
I don't understand why there's no notification or why don't they get collected by themselves, this is so much BS.
