Shorter AW seasons

With the current AW season ending early, it got me thinking. This was actually pretty nice. While the reason for it ending was annoying, I really didn't mind a shorter AW season as such. Seasons can be such a seemingly never-ending slog that it was nice to just be done and be rewarded after a week or ten days, however long this season lasted.
I wouldn't mind if that happened more often. One of the reasons why I dislike AW so much is that, regardless of how big the payout may be in the end, it's still three weeks of grinding to get there. Shortening the seasons would probably alleviate much of that fatigue and make each individual War feel more important. Now only losses feel significant while wins have a certain "Well, this win won't matter if we don't keep winning for weeks on end" dullness to them.
What do you guys think? Do you prefer longer seasons or would you like to see these kinds of shorter ones in the future?

It's a sad truth
If a resource such as t5cc can't be doled out on a weekly basis (understandable), then maybe they can still be rewarded monthly based on the results of the last three seasons. Or maybe a regular season can be broken down into week-long sections with their own rewards, while t5cc etc can act as season-ending rewards.
Just something so that I don't have to lock away 8 of my top champs for 24 hours just to earn around 200 5* shards.
But I see where you're coming from and it's a valid concern. I don't know which of us would be right.
