War season can be like a playoff structured around 3
Only the those with scores of 1.5 or better after each 3 rounds advance.
Prizes increase the further an alliance progress with even being knockout the first level being nice rewards.

This would work much better as a new tournament mode, as suppose to reworking AW system (especially since they just updated the awards). And Ofc the tournament would have to be tier based and could have an entry fee requiring alliance tickets or something
