Question about AQ items usage and final score

hi,
can someone please clarify if using items in AQ will have direct impact in the final standings of all allys?
I have been told the more items you use during AQ, the lower your ally will rank in the final score, is this correct or not?

well all the above are true and false....

if you need to use items to complete the map and you don't complete it then yes it affects your placement and vice versa

The only part here that is correct is "you dont complete it then yes it affects your placement." If you complete it with items, or you complete it without items, you will have the same score.
