Ghost Rider (Peter Parker) Design Idea

I just happened upon this guy and immediately found him really cool. I've also been thinking of how a mystic spider-person could look like seeing how we have spider-people of almost all other classes, and this guy fits the bill. Now I just need to start thinking up a mutant spider-person (wasn't there a story in the animated series where he went to the X-Men due to some mutation?).

I basically wanted to design a mystic spider-hunter who can also deal with cosmic champions when the need arises. However, he doesn't have the strongest power control and only a fairly limited ability for dealing with buffs until he triggers his penance stare or fires off the SP3. You don't want to rely on a bunch of buffs when he does either of those things, but he's still primarily a spider-hunter.

Note: he seems to go under the name "Ghost Spider" in the comics as far as I can tell, but since Spider-Gwen also goes under that name I decided to just call him Ghost Rider (Peter Parker) for the sake of simplicity.

Signature Ability - Ghost in the Machine

Having hunted Spider-Heroes extensively to fuel his own power, Ghost Rider (Peter Parker) can weaken the most powerful attacks of #Spider-Verse Heroes through an additional Judgement.

#Spider-Verse Hero Launches a Special Attack
Places a Judgement on the opponent, and Ghost Rider (Peter Parker) loads a Special Weakness Cartridge into his Web-Shooters. This Cartridge allows him to place a Special Weakness Debuff on the opponent that reduces their Special Attack damage by 20% for 12 seconds.

Another Special Weakness Debuff is placed on the opponent every time they launch a different Special Attack from the one launched previously, and all Special Weakness Debuffs are refreshed whenever Ghost Rider (Peter Parker) matches the Special Attack the opponent last used.

This Debuff can stack up to 5 times, with each stack placing a separate Judgement. After reaching 5 stacks or when a different Judgement is placed, the duration of any active Debuffs can no longer be refreshed and last 6 seconds before expiring. These Debuffs can also be removed by either champion using an SP3 or by the opponent launching the same Special Attack twice in a row.

Judgements

Every Judgement Ghost Rider (Peter Parker) places on an enemy loads a different Web Cartridge into his Web-Shooters and reduces the opponent's healing abilities by 33% each. Cartridge effects cannot have their duration refreshed against Science champions, unless they are #Spider-Verse Heroes.

Landing a Heavy Attack
Places a Judgement on the opponent and a 10-second Precision Buff on Ghost Rider (Peter Parker), then loads a Cruelty Cartridge into his Web-Shooters. This Cartridge allows him to gain a Cruelty Buff for 10 seconds and refreshes the duration of any Precision Buffs on him.

Each Critical Hit pauses the duration of these two Buffs for 0,5 seconds per active Judgement on the opponent

Opponent Evade
Places a Judgement on the opponent, and Ghost Rider (Peter Parker) loads an Ensnare Cartridge into his Web-Shooters. This Cartridge Ensnares opponents, who cannot Evade and have their Ability Accuracy lowered by 30% for 10 seconds. The duration of Ensnare is refreshed every time the opponent fails an Evade.

Opponent reaches 2 Bars of Power
Places a Judgement on the opponent, and Ghost Rider (Peter Parker) loads a Power Burn Cartridge into his Web-Shooters. This Cartridge allows him to Burn 1% of the opponent’s Max Power with each Light Attack for 8 seconds. The duration of Power Burn is refreshed every time the opponent reaches a new Bar of Power.

Opponent gains a Buff
Places a Judgement on the opponent, and Ghost Rider (Peter Parker) loads a Stagger Cartridge into his Web-Shooters. This Cartridge allows all of his Medium attacks to place a Stagger for 10 seconds. Staggered Buffs are converted into indefinite Blank Buffs with no effect.


Penance Stare

When 5 Judgements have been placed, convert them into a Penance Stare passive lasting 6 seconds. Penance Stare converts all active Buffs on the opponent into Degeneration Debuffs lasting for the duration of Penance Stare. This includes Blank Buffs.

Buffs triggered during Penance Stare are instantly converted into passive Degeneration effects that deal 25% additional damage and last for 6 seconds even if Penance Stare ends before that.

Science champions cannot be inflicted with Degeneration effects, either active or passive.

Evade

Ghost Rider (Peter Parker) has a 25% chance per Judgement to Evade the next basic attack when not holding Block. Whenever this triggers, the ability goes on cooldown for 8 seconds and the chance is lowered by 15%.

When activating Penance Stare, Ghost Rider (Peter Parker) has a 0% chance to Evade basic attacks but a 100% chance to Evade a hit of a Special Attack when not holding Block. This chance is reduced by 15% per hit Evaded in the Special Attack. After the Special Attack, Ghost Rider (Peter Parker) can no longer Evade either basic or special attacks until he has placed another Judgement.

Each Special Attack hit Evaded this way Purifies a Degeneration effect from the opponent. When there are no longer any Degeneration effects on the opponent, Ghost Rider (Peter Parker)'s chance to Evade is set to 0%.

Opponent Power Gain

Every second that opponents are under the effect of a Power Gain Buff, they take 0,15% of their Max Health as Degeneration damage per active Power Gain Buff. This damage is capped at 3% Max Health per Degeneration effect but this cap is refreshed every time a new Judgement is placed. When Ghost Rider (Peter Parker) enters Penance Stare, this ability goes into cooldown for 14 seconds.

Additionally, the potency of any Power Gain Buffs is decreased by 7% for each Judgement active on the opponent.

Special Attack 1

Ghost Rider (Peter Parker) fires the last Cartridge loaded into his Web-Shooters.

Special Attack 2

Ghost Rider (Peter Parker) fires the last 2 Cartridges loaded into his Web-Shooters.

If one of them is an Ensnare Cartridge, the Special Attack gains True Accuracy.

If he is fighting a #Spider-Verse Hero and has a Special Weakness Cartridge loaded, he fires that one in addition to the other two.

Special Attack 3

Ghost Rider (Peter Parker) loads a Damnation Cartridge into his Web-Shooters and fires it at the opponent, Damning them for 12 seconds.

While Damned, their Evade Ability Accuracy is lowered by 100% and they become Buff Immune. Every Buff that fails to trigger places an Incinerate Debuff on them for 1 second per Judgement active at the time.

Every failed Evade has a 100% chance to refresh the duration of the Damnation with 75% duration. This chance is reduced by a flat 20% every time Damnation is refreshed.
