Where is Professor X useful?

I just pulled a 5* prof X from my 6.3 completion rewards and r4’d him immediately. Where does he specialise? What’s his utility good for?

He can cancel evade/miss mechanics, do great special damage, has non contact attacks, great synergies, and is just one of those solid champs that can get you through content

In addition, he's immune to reverse controls. I used him for 6.4.6 and 7.2.6 exploration and it was easy.

In long fights he shines, prowess adds crazy damage

Useful everywhere but his standout uses for me are:

-Countering reverse controls

-Massive special damage that can be cheesy with so many nodes.

-Easy access to intercepts from the falter which can also act as a nice backup considering his low healthpool.

-Block proficiency is amazing

- Evade countering.

Evade & Miss counter
Easy access to knock-downs & intercepts through falter- do not go gentle, ebb and flow

Mind control acts as power mitigation for nodes like vivified where other power control fails

Multiple Prowess buffs for special connoisseur and buffed up

Immune to reverse controls- delirium, grandmaster/gwenmaster counter

Energy and non contact attacks- Thorns/reverberation/korg counter

I took him to R5 to do 7.2.6 exploration... Makes the reverse controls a cake walk.... Because I suck at reverse controls lol

- Easy access to evade and miss counter
- Excellent block proficiency
- Psychic shielding and reverse control immunity
- Long reaching heavy
- Non contact attacks on everything minus first medium attack and first hit of sp2
- Energy damage
- Passive falter that can double as a safety net and an alternative to parrying
- Special spam with mind control
- Lots of prowess buffs
- Hard hitting specials
- Good prestige
- Solid defender
- Doesn’t require awakening
- Synergies that benefit ALL Mutants and X-Men (Longshot, Phoenix, Magik, and U-Colossus) except for himself
- Helpful (but not necessary) ramp up that boosts the strength of his synergies
- Big specials and massive damage potential
- Cool looking animations that are also useful (Prof’s dash back animation has a really long traveling distance and the manner in which he sort of teleports backwards is helpful)

Everyone has mentioned the highlights so I'll tell you that he absolutely cheeses power reserve nodes.

I used him to finish the grandmaster; the reverse control part of the fight is a little less stressful when the game isn't working well, and I used a mutant team with him in the gauntlet, so yea, he is in the end game. Enjoy

soloed abyss omega with him today, it was literally a normal fight that didn't take long at all. (6*r3 sig 60 natty)

Yea he's great in abyss, took him for 3/5 of the paths and he made every fight I used him for a breeze.
Best was Thor ragnarok, turns him into a punching bag
