I hate true focus, not because it counters ghost or quake, but I would love to use my Mr Negative everywhere I can, and so far he's been countered by true focus on a few SoP fights and now boss island. He's just got to R3 as well!

I understand that however there are still 200+ champs. The majority of which are useful now thanks to ongoing buffs. Kabam has made it clear they want us to use them all and not just a handful lol.

Yep. Honestly I would prefer it if they just flat out banned quake and ghost from fights because then champs like Mister negative and Tigra wouldn’t get screwed over

sure but some people want to use other champions, and some of those champions just can't be used cause Kabam needed to counter Ghost and Quake. I agree they need to do it, but it's just sad it's almost impossible to do without ruining other really cool options.

I dont know if you've been playing long enough but do you remember the very first event quests? You had character gates. You couldn't go onto that path unless you had og spidey or og widow. They could do the opposite of that. Character ban gates.

Ghost and Quake, break the game, the players do not accept Nerf in both, for being whiners. Kabam has to create nodes at some events that make it difficult to use them.

I actually do comprehend that perfectly fine. However, as with past meta champs like let's say blade when he was top dog, they find way to make him less so by adding tags that weren't villains or dimensional beings. It is how this game has always been. Character come out that steam roll everything for a while, then a node or champs come along that change the meta. Investing all your resources into a small pool of champs is going to cause you problems in the long run. Anyone that has ever played a progression game before understand this. Do you?

It's a knot that will be used a few times.
Ghost does almost everything, you think it's fair for 2 champions to do almost everything, the kabam is still being good, as furies and cruelties were supposed to have a downward adjustment, mainly as passive furies.

So because you can't use quake for a few fights in one part of the contest, you want your resources and money back? There are lots of nodes to counter different champs, as there should be

All design features in this game are arbitrary. It is only for purely arbitrary reasons that champions like Ghost and Quake are good. Nothing about them makes them intrinsically awesome, it is purely due to the way content is created that allows them to be awesome. You can't blame the content for arbitrarily hurting those champs without acknowledging that content was arbitrarily helping them in the first place.

Also, in any game as a service there's going to be balancing, and everyone who spends money is supposed to know that they could be spending money on things that will change in the future, either explicitly (via nerfs, balancing changes, etc) or implicitly (they may be great against the content today, but that's no guarantee they will be just as great against the content of tomorrow, new champs may explicitly be designed to counter them, and so on).

This isn't just something you should accept, this is something you're legally required to accept or else you're legally not entitled to play the game.

And no, you can't have all your resources back either. You earned rewards using those resources. You can't get them back without surrendering everything you earned from them, which is impractical to implement. That's the whole point to burning those resources: you can't just redeploy them elsewhere when something better comes along. If you allow people to do that every time the game changes, the game economy would be completely non-functional.

This game is in part a resource management game. And part of resource management is managing risk. If you choose to pile resources into the highest performing champions in the most competitive parts of the game, you take the risk that you won't be impacted by future game balancing decisions. Anyone who has played any online games with competitive elements knows this, and also knows you aren't just going to get refunds every time balancing occurs. This risk is part of the cost of competition. If this is new to you, well, now you know how these things go. Competitive games balance. They don't always compensate players for balancing changes. Most people just continue on. Some decide it is not for them. Those that think their experience is novel end up getting burned again when they think another game will be different. They are always wrong.

Yeah but if Ghost and Quake are too powerful just counter them then, don't drag Elsa, Negative, Surfer, Tigra, Prof X, Spider Gwen, Starky down with them too. They're like the school kids who get a class detention even though they didn't do anything and a couple of other kids stole a pencil case or something.

I'm not arguing that I should use quake and ghost everywhere, but if this is the precedent going forward to stop quake and ghost steamrolling, then it's just sad that it counters several of my favourite champions. I'm about to R3 SpiderGwen, but having slight second thoughts, because what if content usually has this true focus node on it? How useful is she gonna be if anytime there's unblockable specials she won't be able to evade.

I've just R3d Mr Negative and thrown 120 sigs into him, am I gonna get the full worth out of it because kabam think Quake is too powerful, why should Negative get countered because Kabam can't work out a way to stop quake and ghost without countering a bunch of other champs too?

They could have just created a node that gave you armour break, and one that gives the defender true strike while ability accuracy is under 100%

I hate the node, but not because it counters quake and ghost.

But because it screws my guy stryfe over. Fortunately he’s still playable and rampable if I spam heavy, but it’s no where near as fun or quick.

I hope kabam counter quake and ghost in a different way, that doesn’t punish other champs who benefit a lot from miss and evade. Lazy design.

Its a lazy design, it should be ghost cannot miss and quake cannot evade nodes. Instead of punishing other champs like prof x Elsa mr negative tigra etc
