Shortened SOP

The shortening of the summer of pain event really messed me up. A week ago my solo event had 3 weeks left on it. I’m currently sitting at 26 points. I’ve completed all objectives for this week already only to find out that I won’t be able to hit the top milestone by 1 point. Had I known they were going to shorten it, I would have spent the units/revives I needed to get the skill point for throne breakers last week. I thought I had more time, and another two weeks. Thoughts on this?

it was always going to be this long, only thing shortened was the rewards payout time

It was 9 week challenge so seems u missed one fight or objective as after this week there be no more points contributing to the sop peak milestones as the big challenge be different rewards

Whether the timer remained the same or not, you would've stayed at 26 points. The shortening of the timer is just so we don't have to wait 2 more weeks for the rewards

As a player who doesn’t check forums, you would think that they would announce it via in game email. Why show that there are 3 weeks left to obtain points in the solo event? The communication is lacking.

You have a point but it wouldn't have affected anything in-game either. Difficulty of bosses stay the same, you'll still have only untill the end of this week to complete, still have the same number of points.

The mail says 9 week event. The timer is for rewards. Even if the timer said 30 more days, you still wouldn't get that extra point.

You are right.. Kabam is not very good at communicating.. but in this case You made the choice NOT to be informed.. as you said.. you don't check the forums.. and that is the main way kabam has chosen to disclose information with the community...

In this case Kabam is not to blame for your lack of information.. maybe going forward you will decide to at least check on the announcements portion of the forums from time to time..

It's the same time frame. Next week will be two weeks long as it's the final stage. They are ending the single fights early to give us rewards early. The last week won't have points towards the entire event.

It sounds to me like you didn't read the in-game email either. You just looked at the event and assumed that if there was more time on the milestone event there would be more fights to earn points from. But the in-game email did say there were going to be nine weeks of single fights. It mentioned a final two-week extra challenge, but there was no reason to believe that challenge would allow Cavalier players to earn more milestone points.

Well that sucks but the shortening does not have anything to do with this. You just missed a point. There won't be any more weeks after this of SoP after Ghost ends

Whats the point he cant even process what he is reading..

SoP has been 9 weeks
1 week 1 fight, exception on DH that was extended
9 FIGHTS 9 WEEKS TO GET POINTS
Now he complains that the event will br over and won't get 1 point.. WHEN THERE IS NO FIGHTS LEFT...

Sending him mail with explanations with apples and oranges will make him wonder why there are no veggies..

Definitely going to say this one is your fault. Should have asked around, maybe checked forums for a big event like this. Can’t blame kabam for your mistake
