Daily Unit auto fight vs. In quest auto fight!

I believe there is an underlying conflict between these two "auto fight" features that should be investigated. I enter the daily quests and pick a team and use auto fight not the "units at the door" auto fight. The game becomes flaky after running a daily 100% on auto fight.
