Kitty Pryde - Wolverine Synergy: only for 6*

is the Wolverine synergy only with the 6* kitty pryde? I saw the synergy description on Aunt M.AI, but I’m not seeing it with my 5*. Generally, all synergies are available with 5* and up.

Yeah only 6 star thats why its darkned out on auntmai as a 5 star the forums also says its only for 6 star

a) why you on light mode
b) it’s darkened out on the five star (and doesn’t show the partner icons) for that reason. Switch to the six star and it will be there.

Is it really that OP of a synergy though? 10% Furies are pretty weak for Wolvie, and with Kitty you still wouldn't want to risk phasing and losing prowess in most matchups.

@Player_Slasher correct. It’s not an OP synergy, just a nice to have. The shift to 6* exclusive synergies is a change. The next OP synergy for the next great champ might be 6* only too.

6 star only synergies, really kabam?, As if the bugs and the incredulous offers are not enough, now u want to start this new trend of bringing out champs that have nearly no counters with exclusive 6 star synergy that nearly nobody will have for a very long long time, why do u like sabotaging your own game.

Yes I think so, but they've tried similar before - this is just ramping it up. Iirc when Red Guardian was released he had a synergy that was restricted to 5* and above, but community uproar made them change it to 4* and up.

5*s are way easier to get than 6*s...that alone is a big enough difference.

That's the point though. The Synergy is pretty significant, and Wolverine still has the most reliable Regen in the game. Releasing it to Players who haven't advanced their Accounts enough could be damaging.

Hmmm, maybe a year ago. 6* are already becoming easier to get. When they first arrived it took 4 months to form 1 from uncollected. Now you get 1 a month from uncollected and cav. Plus whatever you get from side events and dupes and special objectives and various story and variant content. So are they really that Hard to get? Or do you mean hard to get God tier? Because that's a different issue.

I think he means hard to get as in kitty won’t be in a 6* crystal for another 4? Months (she won’t be in the featured releasing in 28 days), and won’t be in basics until that expires in another 90-100 days

Again that's a totally separate issue than from just being able to get 6* as was implied by his post.

No it won’t. The regen is far better than the fury buffs, and in no way would be damaging to a less advanced account

When you combine the Regen WITH the Fury, yes. There isn't any skill involved in playing with him. It's straight proc.

But you don't get both. Your trading the regen for a fury. So its one of the other. Must work for Kabam when I hear this stuff.. lol How would it possibly damage even if it was a little OP? Its just a game..so a few paths get a little easier.. In a whole the game is still hard AF and so many paths. it may just save some pots. Its not like someone is just always only going to use these 2 champs together..

What skill does a new-ish player need? The player still needs to get lucky with the regen procs, parry and then heavy to convert it to fury and thereby losing the regen itself. Literally the entire first 3 acts is all about hitting the opponents and blocking from time to time. There's nothing that will be different in Wolverine. In fact it encourages changing your playstyle a bit.

If you think people in act 4 and 5 would have their skills damaged, that's just grasping at highly unlikely situations. This logic also doesn't hold since Kabam release synergies like Apocalypse for Cable. He has decent regen and far better damage.

Even if in some distant universe this is actually damaging to a player, what's to prevent Kabam from releasing the synergy on the 5* version of Kitty Pryde? People who use 5* Kitty especially as a new player won't be using their 3* or 4* Wolverine and the 5* version of him isn't easily available.

The amount of times I've seen people argue that something wouldn't be THAT bad is right up there with his Regen. The reality is, game balancing is more proactive than that. Especially when dealing with a Champ that procs Regen more consistently than any other. You are cautious.

Add that to Apoc and make him a Horseman, and you don't think that's too OP for a newer Player? We don't have enough people content rushing as it is?
