Mephisto Bugged Maybe?

While doing arena I stumbled across this bug a few times. At first I thought it was an accident, but it occurred multiple times. Hercules still gains buffs while under Mephisto’s Soul Imprisonment. From my knowledge, his imprisonment is supposed to prevent the opponent from gaining any buffs. Maybe Hercules has something that allows him to bypass Soul Imprisonment but I don’t know. Mephisto’s Soul Imprisonment however did work on other champs (them not gaining any buffs), but not on Hercules.

Also the true sense buff is buggy, it’s a buff but not always a buff so doesn’t interact properly sometimes. Additionally soul imprisonment just reduces the chance to activate buffs so increased chance or AAR immunity etc can allow champions to still proc buffs while under its effects.

Ohh, I didn’t know they still have a change to gain buffs. During that time tho when he gained the true sense, it was a “buff”. Here’s a SS.

Was just looking through Mephisto’s ability’s and it does in fact say 100%. Maybe herc has increased AA?

Doesn’t herc reduce offensive AA while under an infuriate debuff

Old Man Logan’s ability accuracy cannot be reduced. This is a duel, no extra nodes.

Just knocked him down, he’s about to use his special. Note he has 11 passive bleeds to transfer into buffs once he uses a special

He’s just popped his special, notice the rupture that’s just been applied that wasn’t there in the previous screenshot. That’s the rupture caused by tigra neutralising his buffs. There are no fury buffs triggered. Tigra can counter AAR, and she can also counter increased AA as well.

Mephisto vs Thor,
Mephisto vs Collosus (Team with old man logan)

mephisto can resolve all active buffs. but it doesn't always work.
is supposedly the Aar.

I think your right, a friend of mine just tested Mephisto vs Red Goblin and Mephisto’s Soul Imprisonment wasn’t able to prevent True Sense from occurring.

I went into testing it thinking well of course Tigra will counter increased AA, if she ignores immunity to AAR, then it stands to reason she’ll have ignore increased AA. Why would she play by one set of rules for one of them, and another for the other? Surely they’re the same thing.

But very interestingly, Thor still triggers his fury

I was fighting Dr voodoo and he started the fight with the regen buff, in the past this hs never happened.

It has always happened with dr voodoo, the forums have documented this for years. It matters if he is awakened or not though.

I believe this is because Dr Voodoo's sig pushes his Ability Accuracy to 200%

I don't really know how Mephisto's Soul Imprisonment works, because it has no mention of "ability accuracy"

Assuming it reduces ability accuracy by 100%, 200 - 100 = 100, so...

I think your right, a friend of mine just tested Mephisto vs Red Goblin and Mephisto’s Soul Imprisonment wasn’t able to prevent True Sense from occurring.

In this case it might be assassin. Do not forget the AA reduction it causes.

Abilities that reduce a specific effect's chance like amour shattered, slow and neutralize will bypass AAR immunity but not increased AAR. Unstoppable champs on force of will do not proc unstoppable icon unless they have increased ability accuracy. Same applies to armour champs when inflicted with armour shattered. I suspect Apocalypse's abilities work that way as well but I don't know where to test that.
