Why am I not able to speak on global?

I believe I’m chat banned and have no idea why. I would like to be able to message people. Or understand why this happened in the first place.

Have you said something naughty? You tend to get banned for that.

But why would you want to chat in Global? It's not a nice place. It's where people tend to say naughty things and get banned, or scam people, or worse. I've had Global muted for ages and I am so happy with the peace of mind it has brought me.

Being chat banned affects a lot more than just not being able to speak on global. Can’t message my alliance mates, can’t message people on my friends list. This is absurd.
