King Groot's Malice and Healing error with Fisticuffs?

When I fight the Sentinel boss at the end of 6.1.6 with KG we both start off fight with Fisticuffs. My initial furies from malice are removed from Fisticuffs and I immediately get next heal from the sig ability. After that I don't get any furies from Malice or healing after the Fisticuffs wears off.

Is that supposed to happen? Shouldn't KG start getting the heals and furies again after Fisticuffs wears off?

I had the same interaction with KG as well where the regen starts at the start of the fight, but I never gain furies.

Also happens against BWCV. If there's buff immunity on him when his furies reactivate, he's turned off permanently

This is like Memphisto VS 1% regeneration node, he take down the buff the entery figth.
