Cosmic Eclipse Side Quest Day 2 Legendary - Venom is Bugged?

Tried using BWCV and Venom against the final boss Venom in Day 2 Side Quest Legendary today. Both my champs fail to gain any buffs except one fury buff. As a result, the defender Venom takes no damage at all throughout the fight.
Did anyone else experience this?
I have tried restart my app, phone and a few revives but still the same. Will Kabam compensate us with a key replacement?
