Input Drop & Power Struggle Pause

Simple issue in 7.3.2: there appears to be a very slight pause between the time the defender receives his Sp1 versus when the attacker receives his on the Power Struggle path.
This is an issue because the attacker can only gain power when the defender does and loses all power when the defender fires a special.
Also, whether it is input drop or simply a split-second lag, the result is that the attacker is usually vulnerable for a moment while trying to tapping the special button (and trying to figure out why it didn’t fire). Result is often a combo or a special to the face.
I’d suspect the cause is the usual suspects…input drop or more game engine issues related to timing.
