So if I'm playing on a tier 5 map I should get a tier 5 multiplier correct?

You don’t get the multiplier as you’re not t5

And that’s wrong. I know that’s how it works, but it shouldn’t.

You’re on a tougher map against a tougher opponent. You deserve the multiplier. It should be easy enough to program a function to choose the highest between your tier multiplier and map multiplier.
