4 deaths in total in aw but 42 attack bonuses lost!!!

We lost 42 attack bonuses but died only 4 times in total.
How? Well it is because of the great servers of Kabam.
At least make it as you don't lose attack bonuses for get dissconected.
The alliance is being brought down due to lag and bugs.
Just make 1 Simple change - You don't lose an attack bonus on disconnecting.
Keep the health penalty but just don't lose an attack bonus.
Our ally, which is easily capable of reaching gold 3 or above is reaching silver 2!
We are all almost fully F2P, so we don't spend thousands of dollars for high end phones.
Just acknowledge the cry's of an irritated alliance and make the change given below.

So if we are about to lose we just close our game. I get your point, but it will be abused.

You are about to lose, close the game and your teammate tries, he is about to die, closes his game and someone else will try.

Ya every single war would be 0-0 or 1-0 basically because dying will be impossible

@Omedenn is correct here and force close has been abused in the past. Even if there were just one mulligan per fight or a handful per war, that would probably get abused as well. Unfortunately, I’m not sure there’s a fair solution.

Last war, I had frame freeze at run-in for about a second. When it unfroze, I was in the middle of receiving a combo plus a stun and another combo. My recovery was bad and I got parried immediately. Another combo to the face.

So I just force quit and took the death. Came back at 50% and used one of those AW boosts languishing in my stash. Cleared the node and moved on.

Not a perfect solution. I’m sure your wars are higher stakes than mine (we play voluntary war participation for this reason and others, but especially for this reason since the game is fritzed). That’s just how it turns out sometimes.

So I definitely agree that the dc thing can be abused. But I hope that some solution is there. Because it is pretty nutty to lose a war just because people disconnect and that too when the signal is working perfectly everywhere other than the game.

Would be great if there were a “challenge” system where each side got a limited number of challenges (like some pro sports, for example). If none get used at the end of war, there’s a bonus to be had. Each one erases a “bad” death.

However, making this work operationally would be difficult. Who would throw the challenge “flag”? Officers? Players? Seems like there’s potential abuse here as well.

Hard to see a compromise that is a fair balance.

Too much work vs very little benefit. I am sure they'd have done it, if it was feasible.

You can handle different kinds of errors, so if the game closes b/c the internet connection dropped, then that would be considered one type of error. If the game closes but there are no internet connection issues at the time, then that could be another type of error. And then you can have subtypes of errors.

But I don't think there's a good solution because players will catch on. Assuming that there is a way to ascertain a drop that is based on connection, players can easily just shut off their internet connection on their phone rather than force closing. I'm pretty sure that in this scenario, there would be no way of distinguishing between these two "errors." But I haven't been in software development for awhile so I'm sure someone can correct me.

Just like any code, however, developers are not assigned tasks unless they're mandated by decision makers. These decisions are mostly determined by generating revenue. So I don't really see addressing this issue being technically feasible or financially beneficial.

When this happens to my alliance, I just remind everyone that it goes both ways. Our opponents are just as susceptible to these drops as we are and it'll all balance out in the end.

TBH with the current state of the game Kabam shouldn't have a right to call this an abuse till the time they provide us with a functional game where these abuse mechanics won't be necessary
These things wouldn't matter if the game didn't lag & crash in every 3rd fight, but since it does, players need a safeguard against such BS to ensure that their efforts don't go in vain
Earlier it ws fine since crashes in AW were rare, but now a very significant playerbase has to face this issue in every other war
I personally have given about 10 kills this season only bcoz of lags & crashes whereas most of the times I get through entire seasons with single digit kills only, & it's the same fr many other players I know
Kabam shouldn't behave like everything is fine & nothing needs to be done about it
It's not the player's fault that a large scale gaming company isn't able to run it's game properly, but the players are surely suffering bcoz of this & the company prefers to remain silent & tries to let the issues slide under the carpet

There is, but enterprising players would learn to stop force closing, and start flipping their phones to airplane mode to kill the wifi. The game servers have no way to distinguish the game dying and the signal from the game being lost (it is a little more complicated than that, and for obvious reasons I'm not articulating the entire technical situation).

That's not how this works. When people abuse this situation, they are hurting *other players*. You're basically cheating your opponents. So Kabam cannot say since the game is not functioning perfectly, we'll just allow everyone to cheat in war against their opponents. That just hurts more players.
