Is this a bug ?

Several times now I launch a special attack , it hits the defender but then halfway through suddenly he blocks . This has never happened before so I am curious is this a bug or some new game mechanic

    Hey there, do you happen to have any footage of this, or would you be able to tell us what nodes were active during this fight or where it took place?

    Haven’t really paid attention but I can take notes the next time it happens . Should I add it here ?
