I see a lot of comments saying this is just his opinion which he's entitled to, which of course is true. But I'm reading the OP as genuinely interested in hearing the debate for Sentinel being better. I prefer warlock as well so I wouldn't be opposed to hearing the case for Sentinel too. Even though there's quite a few champs that fill the role too now to me Warlocks hard countering Havok and Sinister (and domino to a lesser extent) and having the best regen counter in the game puts him ahead, its just too valuable against those champs in tough matchups.

What I think really sets Sentinel apart is all of the benefits he gains from analysis. He gets so tanky at 100 analysis. In my opinion he is one of the safest war attackers out there as long as he’s not getting hard countered by nodes or a specific champion. Dying in war is so hard when the enemy cannot crit. There’s a lot of fights that maybe have better counters on paper, but Sentinel still handles easily.

Domino on footloose is good example of this. It’s not an easy fight by any means, but by playing slow with Sentinel it can be an extremely easy matchup. I solod this fight 3-4 times last season. Another example is Thing. We all know he can be an annoying defender, but as long as you know how to handle rock stacks Sentinel deals with him quite easily, and that’s a fight you would never take warlock to.

These are just a couple examples of fights that Sentinel can do really well, and the list is much longer.

The only thing that warlock makes better than sentinel is the passive block healing, at least for me the AAR just work on defense, sentinel has better damage, once he reach 100 charges you becomes practically inmune tu critic hits, unless this will be guaranteed, he triger habilities through opponent block (trust me this will help you a lot on 7.3 exploration), easy access to heal block and armor break debuff.
