Did I make a mistake by r5 symbiod

I am trying the side event now and i see a lot of videos taking down second symbiod supreme without a whole lot of problems with an r4 but my r5 is stacking fury’s on symbiod supreme like crazy ….

It was a very long road to this point but I am getting discouraged now

Yeah leech reduces opponents nullify aa so with max leech you would’ve been fine, anyway, the furies are because of consecutive mediums, so don’t do regular 5 hit combos.

Tldr: parry, LMLM, repeat. Maybe a couple of heavies as well coz the infect poisons are potent

You don’t understand not fury’s on me but furies on symbiod supreme due to rage which does bot trigger with r4

Dude you can Nullify the Unblockable buffs from Rage when you max out Devour using MLLLL combos.
What is there to be discouraged about?

I made that switch to 3x devour and that helped..

But still one dex not registering and you are death but that’s a different problem.

Discouragement level is still high but tackled at least first problem thank you

go on youtube and find the correct order of using the prefights, that's what makes the quest easy. I couldn't do it either when i just went in blind

That is because r5 has higher damage -> more Rage triggers. You need to do MLLLL combos to nullify the Rage furies. Then it is absolutely fine. You just need to have the Devour prefights active.

This is a useful prefight guide (got me through it all, w 2 revives spent on the whole run, both of which were my mistakes on 2nd and 3rd Venom, the final path+boss didnt cost me anything)

I had no problems and one-shotted every fight but one of the Venoms with R5 Symbio, so as long as you are choosing the Pre-Fight order wisely, you can do the whole thing itemless with maxed out Symbio.

EDIT: 3rd Venom got me

https://youtu.be/ajCbsji8bX4 it made the run super easy and quick. I also had my steve at r5, didn't have too much trouble with rage, was using MLLLL combos to eat up the buffs before he went unblockable. Used a revive on the last venom (got clipped by his sp2

) but everything else was a walk in the park. Hope you don't give up, good luck!

Just spam LLLL combo to nullify Sym. Supreme's furies from Rage node and heal you too with Devour. Also spam Sp1's dash back, LLLL, repeat...to control his power, make sure you time your sp1 and dash back combo when he changes blessings so you Power Steal more power via Leech prefight.

Where I describe what to do in each fight. At first the fights seem to be bad, but you need to know what you are doing. Then it is doable easily

The only discouragement I felt was when I was unable to combo into special. And that happened way too often. It also made the run stressful.

I didnt attempt this with r4, took him r5 and went in with 0 prep. I went for the longest path in first clear. died 2 times on second sym fight and restarted the quest both times.
I also used a revive somewhere in path 3 in third attempt.
Then I got koed and restarted again.
Learnt from my mistakes and cleared it with 0 revives.
